Govardhan Farm

Govardhan – A serene farm-style home designed for Mr. Pradeep and Mrs. Raita Mocharla, who sought to embrace a truly sustainable lifestyle in suburban Hyderabad after years of living in cities around the world.

Inspired by traditional South Indian courtyard houses, the design is simple yet highly responsive to the region’s harsh climate, integrating courtyards and verandahs for natural cooling. Every room is oriented to offer picturesque farm views while adhering to Vastu principles.

Built with minimal steel, concrete, and glass, the home maintains a low carbon footprint by utilizing locally sourced materials and labor. Sustainability is at its core, with passive ventilation, an in-house sewage treatment system, and water recycling incorporated to create an eco-conscious, self-sustaining retreat.
